Called on chance this Sunday afternoon. Although two birthdays were booked & things looked busy, a short wait saw us seated and a divine lunch followed. Staff super attentive, food wonderful and all such good value. 5 stars

Highly recommended to anyone who loves a good indian. Chicken tikka sally is lovely and my chosen dish.

Nice buffet food. Manager disturbed us a bit too much while eating

The Bay Horse

42 South Side, Middridge, Newton Aycliffe DL5 7JD, UK – 01325 312653

Nice decor, friendly and helpful staff, varied menu, delicious meals with large portions. Good choice of draught and keg beers. Excellent gin offering. Very reasonable wine by the bottle. Large car park, complimentary WiFi, no loud canned music. This pub ticks all the boxes.

What a great find, we had been with family to the railway museum down the road and fancied somewhere for lunch. This was the first place that popped up on google search and what a lovely pub, very country style from the outside and the inside was just as nice too. Our sever Ben went above and beyond helping us find a good table for a large number so we were comfortable, to making sure the high chair had been cleaned before we used it. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and the food did not disappoint very generous potions that were very filling and looked and tasted home made. We will definitely be back again.
